Building a Better Flesh Giant help

In trying to complete the Icecrown(78-80) step 170 Kill Apprentice Osterkilgr and then Beat the information out of Apprentice Osterkilgr, how do you beat the information out of him if he's already dead in the previous step? I can't get Dr. Terribles "Building a Better Flesh Giant" I have a screen shot if that helps. I'm a level 80 Death night and I try to kill him slowly. He is supposed to give the information for beating it out of him when he's around 30% health, however I stop attacking and he continues and does not give up the information. Is there a step that is missed to get him to give up the book>

It's possible the quest is bugged on Blizzard's end. You do have the quest Deep in the Bowels of The Underhall in your quest log right? Have you gone to the turn in NPC to see if it will allow you to turn in the quest after killing him?
