Just dinged 85 today woohoo psyched but still low to do heroics i'm only a 308 item level now booo lol.. thanks zygor guides for helping me out.. Can't wait for the gold guide to come out will definatley be purchasing that one for sure!!!!

I leveled 85 two days ago also! I was also to low to do heroics but within one day I was able to join heroics. All I simply did was do random cata dungeons non heroic and picked up enough blue pieces until I had a high enough gear score. The heroic dungeons in this cata upgrade are extremly harder than the last expansion. The wait time for heroic dungeons was terrible because I had to wait an average of fifty minutes to get in a group but if your a tank or priest the wait time is less. The first two groups I got into had terrible priest or healers and the groups never got past the first boss of each dungeon! Finally on the third group I got into we had an amazing priest and tank and I was able to score two heroic pieces both a necklace and ring from the first two bosses. I was lucky simply because noone else in the group needed str and stamina with crit strike adds. One thing that is a downer I noticed is you do not get the new VALOR points which goes toward the elite tier 11 gear unless you defeat the entire dungeon. I hope this helps out in some sort of way! Grats on reaching 85!
I heard from a friend that the herois are defnitely heroic this time especially with random groups. So prepare your equipment before by either crafting things or collecting equipment in normal dungeons.
