Can I skip a section?

I'm wondering if I can skip the 25-30 section. I really dislike the questing zones. I'm on step 83, but I'm already level 29 50% to 30. Will it effect me that much if I skip?

Id complete the chain quests in that area. As long as you do the chains that may effect future chain quests, there won't be a problem.
