Quest doesn't exsist?

Hey, so i was questing on the horde guide, i am level 22, and i went to accept a quest in ashenvale, and the person had no question mark above their head. they were just an npc doing nothing. so i had to skip the step. is there going to be a problem later on?

We need to know the NPC's name and the quest that you were supposed to pick up to be able to answer that question.

Ahh, that quest was changed a bit ago but the change hasn't made it into the guide yet. Basically Blizzard removed the quest. If you talk to the NPC you'll get all of the info/lore that was part of the quest without getting any reward for talking to the NPC. You have nothing to worry about, keep following the guide and nothing will be messed up.

I did the quest when I was leveling my paladin, the NPC will give you an idea of where the beast can be found. You can track the targets down, kill them and report back to the NPC and turn in the quest for the xp. I think it was around 3K xp for the turn in.

Yeah, the guide does take you to the 3 beasts to kill them, just that previously you had to do a quest (talk to and immediate turn in with the NPC) before the quest items would drop from those beasts. Now they're a normal drop for the beasts.
