For the Felblood Fillet quest you are sent to Shadowmoon Valley 29,38 which is right in the middle of a load of mobs.

I caught mine after 3 casts in the river on the border between Terokkar Forest and Shadowmoon Valley at 18.9,22.2. So long as it says "Shadowmoon Valley" above your minimap you'll be able to catch it. It's not as far to travel and there's not a mob in sight, either

Another one for Old Man Barlowned achievement: The One That Got Away

After picking up the quest the guide sends you all the way to Allerian Stronghold only to fly back to Nagrand. You pick up the quest right outside Shattrath so it's far more convenient to use the Shattrath FP.
