Gear Advisor working but not without help

The gear advisor is showing pop ups with gear suggestions sometimes, The gear advisor is also highlighting quest suggested quest rewards. However when i mouse over these selected quest rewards i see that another quest reward is better, i close dialogue and reopen it and the better reward is now highlighted. When i pick up an item that is better than what i have on, sometimes i must do /reload before it will put the pop up suggesting that item. how to i make this system more reliable, i dont want to have to double check every quest reward selected by the guide, or risk selling an upgrade because it didnt pop up as a suggestion. forgot to mention. zygor is the only addon i have installed, fresh install of wow.

Are you using the default item score weights or custom ones? What level, class, and spec are you? Could you give us an example of what items it is having a problem with?

Prot Warrior level 30 using the stock weights for prot. i just picked up a shield Clink shield 545 armor, 10 block, 3 str,2 agil, 4 stam showed to be a 20% upgrade over the shield i had equipped which was Driftmire Shield 528 armor 10 block 2 str 3 stam 3 intel. had to do /reload before the pop up would display it as a potential upgrade. heres the thing though, i made several characters on different servers with the same name. not all of them prot warriors. could have been confusing the system. i deleted the wtf folder and the zygor addon from the interface and reinstalled the addon with the desktop app. ill let you know if its still broken. thank you for the fast response.

still doing it, i got 2 upgrades and neither popped up until i did /reload

You said you deleted the wtf folder. Do you mean the entire folder or just one of the sub-folders/files? Are you still by chance considered to be in combat by the game when it does not pop up the suggestion? What are your current settings for the gear system settings and the notifications settings? Do you by chance have a 2nd computer there that you could install and test on? I do not recall anyone else reporting an issue like this so I'm inclined to think it's something specific to your computer/game/server connection.

I deleted the entire wtf folder in the wow tbc folder set. pretty certain im out of combat, when i got those two upgrades i had just hearthed to thousand needles and turned in 2 quests, both rewards were correctly highlighted, i selected them and turned in the quests and nothing popped up. i selected warrior prot and clicked "select this as your active statweight set". i have enable gear advisor checked, highlight recommended quest rewards checked and enable zygor item score tooltips checked. i dont have any other computers that can run wow. ill be upgrading this computer soon. so maybe it'll be fixed when i install everything on the new computer.

For the Notifications settings. Even the bottom one "Send all guide pop-ups to Notification Center" is checked?

ok so i leveled higher than the other characters i had named the same name on the other servers and it seems to be working flawless. so im assuming naming characters the same name on different servers or making characters and then deleting them to choose a different class on the same server, not a good idea.

If it was from re-creating a toon with the same name and different class then when you deleted the wtf folder that should have solved the issue. The wtf folder is the only place where toon info is stored. Odd but glad to hear it seems to be working correctly now.
