The new Demon Hunter hero class, the pre-Legion Demon Invasion event, and the Legion Intro Starter of the Broken Shore is now live and playable on all servers. Zygor Guides has you covered with in-game guides for all of this new content. You’ll need to update your guides to Version 5.0.14266 or higher. We pushed several updates since yesterday extending the Demon Hunter guides, and adding updating the Gear System and Talent Advisor for Demon Hunters.

Next Tuesday, August 9th, Blizzard will be updating the game to give players who pre-ordered the Legion expansion early access to the new Demon Hunter hero class and their starter zone. Additionally, Demon Invasions, a pre-Legion event, will be available to all players. We will be sending out a guide update on Monday, August 8th, the day before this content is launched, adding in the Demon Hunter Starter Guides for all Elite Members and members who pre-ordered the standalone Legion Leveling guide. We’ll also be sending out a free in-game guide for the Demon Invasions to all members (Trial, Basic, and Elite). Look for our announcement when the update is available next week.

At last we have an update rolling out now (Version 5.0.14224) that fixes Zygor’s Gold Guide to work with Patch 7.0. For those not in the know, Patch 7.0 brought about a lot of changes, most of which we were able to get our guides updated for rather quickly, but the changes to the Auction House scanning were so extensive that it has taken us much longer than usual for us to resolve all issues. We want to apologize for the inconvenience and thank everyone for their patience.

With this new update the Gold Guide and Auction Tools have been restored to working order. However, the changes Blizzard made meant we had to change the way scans work and so they now take more time to process than in the past. It may be possible for us to speed this up with further optimization (we’re looking into this now).

We recommend only using the Scan button to update the different panels of Gold Guide chores (Farming/Gathering/Crafting/Auctions), and using Appraise All or Scan New for your general auction house buying and selling needs. The scan button scans the entire auction house, which takes longer, whereas Appraise All and Scan New only scans in the items in your inventory. You will likely see an lua error that says something like:

This is actually an error with the game itself not with Zygor as you can see by the opening part of that error message. There is absolutely nothing we can do about this, Blizzard will need to patch this themselves. Luckily it doesn’t seem to affect anything so you can just close the message and ignore it for now.

Troubleshooting:
You should be able to just click Update on the Zygor Client to get this update, but sometimes it is necessart to exit the game (important) and click the wrench Repair icon on the client and select Reinstall.

If that does not work, your saved variables might need to be cleared. To do this:

1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed it

With the upcoming “World of Warcraft: Legion” expansion releasing next month many customers have been asking us when there will be new Zygor Guides products available for Legion. Rest assured, our team has been hard at work since the start of beta getting everything ready for the August 30th release.

We’ve concentrated our effort on making the guides as high quality as possible and we think you’ll really be impressed with what we have in store. Our Leveling Guide in particular will be packed with content on Day One including Demon Hunter starter guides, Artifact and Class Hall quests for all classes, complete 100-110 walkthroughs for all the new zones, and more. Two Ways To Be Legion Ready:
If you’re already a Zygor Elite member you don’t have to pay anything extra. Just keep an active subscription when Legion launches next month and you’ll get all of the Legion updates at no additional cost. However, if you do not have an Elite account yet, we recommend the 6 month Elite option which will allow you to start enjoying all of our existing content immediately, then, when Legion comes out, you’ll just run the download client,  receive the Legion updates for ALL of our guides, and continue using them through to next year.

If you are a legacy customer who purchased at least one standalone guide before December 10th, 2015 you’ll have the option to add the new Legion content to your account using the old one time fee upgrade model. You can now purchase the upgrades using the Guide Manager inside the Members Area. However, if you want to cut the cost, you can also sign up for Zygor Elite at our special Loyalty Rate of only $4.99 a month which will grant you access to every guide you don’t already own and all the Legion upgrades for these products as well. Please note that the Loyalty Price offer will be ending on September 30th. This means that if you want to lock in these savings you’ll want to upgrade to Elite before the end of September.
