Continued War Campaign
The Alliance and Horde War Campaigns that began at launch will be continued and our guides have been updated accordingly. The events of these campaigns will lead up to the Battle of Dazar’alor Raid and Raid Guide coming shortly after the release of 8.1.
Dwarf and Blood Elf Heritage Armor
Heritage armor sets are cosmetic rewards unique to each race. The set is unlocked account-wide, and can be worn or transmogged by any character of that race.
For Patch 8.1 we have added new guides for obtaining the Dwarf and Blood Elf Heritage armor, which are the first non-Allied races to get their Heritage Armor.
To complete this guide, you will need a level 120 Dwarf of Blood Elf exalted with their races home city (Ironforge and Silvermoon City respectively).
Note: Unlike Allied Races, you do NOT need to level from scratch to 110 or 120. You just need to be 120 and you will have access to the questline.
Tyrande and Saurfang Storylines
Patch 8.1 will focus heavily on character driven story telling and will expand on the story of characters like Tyrande and Saurfang with all new questlines that are covered in our guides.
We’ve also added an achievement guide for the “Spirits Be With You” achievement, which was actually added at the launch of BfA but it is the start of a new storyline focused on Vol’jin the will be expanded in Patch 8.1 with our upcoming guide for “The Shadow Hunter” achievement.
Questline To Unlock Darkshore Warfront
Tides of Vengeance will add a new Warfront called “Battle for Darkshore” involving the Night Elves versus the Forsaken. You’ll be able to use our guide to unlock this warfront.
Arathi and Darkshore World Quests
In addition to the Warfronts, Patch 8.1 will also add new World Quests to these zones along with a new “Service Medals” currency ( 7th Legion Service Medal and Honorbound Service Medal) which are awarded from Warfronts and World Quests, and can be used to buy pets, mounts, and toys.
There will also be even more World Quests added to Zandalar and Kul Tiras as well.
Incursions
At random times zones will come “under attack” by the opposing faction and the existing world quests will be replaced by 4 new ones that reward Azerite Power
These are similar to Invasions in Legion and will be labeled as “Assaults” on the map. These will be a good alternative way to level your characters/alts while they are available.
