For previous upgrades I was able to simple delete the two Zygor folders from the Interface directory. After installing the new guide it would pick up exactly where I left off.

I did the same thing this upgrade but instead of picking up where it left off I needed to select the correct guide, and then keep clicking down until I found where I left off.

Did I do something wrong?

No, you did not - this update introduced a change in guide naming, allowing for nested categories of guides. This, unfortunately, has the inevitable side-effect of having you re-select your last guide manually. This won't happen twice, though. We apologize for the inconvenience.

So, these dailies will need to be purchased? the reason I am asking is because in one post here it was stated as being free, but posted here it was stated to be as the same price as the other guides....so, which is it?

The post by ZG Support is referring to a massive overhaul we already have planned for the dailies guide AFTER it is released, which will be a free update when that is completed. My post is referring to the initial release of the dailies guides, which will need to be purchased.

Download the Dailies Trial to your desktop and open it. Then extract the entire ZygorGuidesViewer folder onto you desktop, so you can actually see the folder, not the zip file. Then go inside the ZygorGuidesViewer folder, then inside the Guides folder. Now, copy the ZygorDailiesAllianceTrial.lua and ZygorDailiesHordeTrial.lua files.

After you have them copied, go to your WoW folder on your mac. Go inside your WoW folder, then inside Interface, then into AddOns. After you are in the AddOns folder, go inside the ZygorGuidesViewer folder, then into the Guides folder. Now, paste the 2 files you copied (above). Then you should have multiple guide .lua files in the Guides folder.

After that, all should be well.

P.S. - We REALLY need to figure out how to make multiple guide updating way easier for you mac users. We'll start working on that now. :-)

Sorry. Followed your directions to the letter and no go. Only the full guide is showing as a selection from the drop down list ingame.

I think he meant inside the ZygorGuidesViewer/Guides directory.

Yeah, place these files into the Guides folder, which is inside the ZygorGuidesViewer folder:
ZygorDailiesAllianceTrial.lua
ZygorDailiesHordeTrial.lua

If the menu of the guide looks wierd after installing the dailies it's because you need to update your original guide first. Basically delete ZygorGuidesViewer and ZygorTalentAdvisor from your Interface / AddOns folder then install the latest release of the leveling guide from the Members Area. Then install the dailies guide. Should work.

If you don't own any of our guides or have an old trial installed, same thing goes for you. Delete the old files and install the new ones. The viewer is changed in this release so that's why there are some errors if you don't have the latest viewer.

I did install the new version, so I will try playing with the addons.

For some reason ever since i downloaded the new update for Zygor Guides and downloaded the events trial guide my waypoint is not showing up anymore .....please help!

Move your guide window. Did the arrow move to be behind your guide window, perhaps, so that the arrow is actually there, just getting covered up by the guide window?

The manual install link on the page linked to us in the announcement downloads the trial version of the actual guide rather then the trial of the daily guide.
