The 2022 version of the Brewfest event is underway and a new guide update is available (Version) that adds in updated guides for all versions of the event (Retail, Classic, WotLK). This is a free update for all Zygor members regardless of Elite status and can be download through the Zygor Guides client.
Come back tomorrow when we will reveal our launch plans for Zygor’s Wrath of the Lich King Classic guides.
The pre-patch for Wrath of the Lich King Classic is scheduled to be released sometime next Tuesday, August 30th. When this happens, TBC Classic will be phased out and the game client will be changed to a WotLK version. We have an update coming before then that will add Guide Viewer support for this changed game version and add in some of the content that will then be available, including:
Death Knight Starter Guide
Inscription 1-375 Profession Guide
Talent Advisor updates
New Stormwind map update support
The 1-60 guides have been modified to reflect some of the changes in WotLK, but we also have a more extensive overhaul in the works
We’re planning to push this update either on Monday or during downtime on Tuesday, before the servers come back up. This release window is mostly to give us time to address any issues should they arise. If things go smoothly the release will be sooner.
To recieve the update you need to have an active Zygor Elite membership. The download will come through the current WoW TBC Classic Content installation on the client so if you have that installed already and updates enabled you’re good to go. We are planning a small client update that will change the install title to say “TBC/WotLK” to avoid confusion.
The remainder of our Wrath of the Lich King: Classic content will be coming closer to the full launch of WotLK Classic which is planned for September 26th. You can find more information on these guides on our promo page.
We will be doing a launch event on our website and YouTube to showcase all the guide content and feature updates coming on Day One. Stay tuned to this blog for more information.
We’re excited to announce that a suite of new guides for Wrath of the Lich King Classic are coming to Zygor Elite NEXT MONTH! All you’ll need to access them is a Zygor Elite subscription.
An update will be made in time for the August 30th pre-patch that will add in the Death Knight starter guides and other tweaks.
Today we’re introducing a new feature that will give users more ways to provide feedback on our guides which in turn will allow us to improve the quality of the guides themselves. There are now so many guides across the various versions of the game that when changes are made to the game that impact these guides it can take a while to identify the issues. Also, while we always strive to create the best guides, sometimes there are things community members notice that we can improve on.
For these reasons we’re introducing a new built in Guide Reviews feature. Now, when your reach the end of any guide, you see a prompt to give that guide a rating. You’ll be presented with three choices, presented in a fun way with Zygor the Gnome’s facial expressions which denote whether the guide is Good, Mixed (Needs Improvement), or Bad. This provides a quick way to rate the guide, but if you’d like to provide even more feedback, there’s also an input box to describe your thoughts in more detail. This part is optional, but the more information we have the easier it will be for to fix any issues you encounter.
When you exit the game, Guide Reviews can be uploaded to us through the Guide Feedback component of the Zygor Guides client. See Options / Guide Feedback to manage your various guide feedback.
You should see this update rolling out to all versions today.
