In World of Warcraft: Classic, it’s very important to train and upgrade your class spells as you level.  This is different from Retail WoW where class spells are learned and upgraded automatically. If you don’t stay on top of this it can have a drastic impact on survivability and how effectively you level.

In order to help with this, we’re adding in a new feature: Class Skill Training Reminders. These are notifications that popup wherever you encounter an opportunity to train new abilities, such as when you first enter the game, when you level up, when you enter a capital city, or when you’re close to your class trainer. If you decide to postpone these notifications for later then the system will simply show a toast notification rather than the popup. When you’re ready, you can use the Find Trainer feature to have the Waypoint Arrow direct you to the trainer to pick up your skills.

Phase 5 for World of Warcraft: Classic goes live today and we have a new round of guide updates (Version 1.0.22762)  to go along with it.

Ahn’Qiraj War Effort is a server-wide world event to open the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj which will make 2 new raid instances available : the 20 man Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj (aka AQ20) and the 40 man Temple of Ahn’Qiraj (aka AQ40).

There are three phases to this event:

The gathering of War Effort Supplies, which both factions work towards, and The Scepter of the Shifting Sands, which is a questline for elite guilds. At the end of both these phases there is a Ten Hour War in Silithus.

* Added Temple of Ahn’Qiraj Boots Quest – AQ40 class tier 2.5 foot armor quest.
* Added Temple of Ahn’Qiraj Helm Quest – AQ40 class tier 2.5 head armor quest.
* Added Temple of Ahn’Qiraj Legs Quest – AQ40 class tier 2.5 leg armor quest.
* Added Temple of Ahn’Qiraj Chest Quest – AQ40 class tier 2.5 chest armor quest.
* Added Signet Ring of the Bronze Dragonflight – Ring reward upgraded by gaining reputation with the Brood of Nozdormu.
* Added Cenarion Battlegear – Four quests to unlock the Champion’s, Stalwart’s, Veterans, and Volunteer’s battlegear from the Cenarion Circle.
* Added Cenarion Field Duty Combat Assignments – Repeatable quests to gain currency for cenarion battlegear quests.
* Added Cenarion Field Duty Tactical Assignments – Repeatable quests to gain currency for cenarion battlegear quests.
* Added Cenarion Field Duty Logistics Assignments – Repeatable quests to gain currency for cenarion battlegear quests.

We are pleased to announce the start of development on our all new guides for World of Warcraft’s eighth expansion: Shadowlands. The key features of this expansion include 5 new zones to explore and quest in, a new covenant system, and a level squish that will revamp the 1-50 experience and change the level cap for everyone back to 60.

Our entire suite of guides types will be updated to support all these new changes and additions. We will also be releasing a new version of our guide addon: Zygor Guide Viewer 8, packed with new features and improvements to enhance your gameplay in Shadowlands.

Zygor’s Guides for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be released in time for the game’s release in all regions. In fact, we’re aiming for a heads up early release the week of launch and all you need to gain access is a Zygor Elite subscription.

A new update is now available for Classic that adds in updated Midsummer Fire Festival guides. There doesn’t appear to be any changes to the Retail version of these guides but were already available.

The updates can be downloaded through the Zygor Client and is available to all Zygor Elite members and as part of our Free Trial.

A new update (Version 1.0.22345) is now available for Zygor’s Classic Dungeon and Gear guide that adds in a Upper Blackrock Spire Dungeon Quests guide. This is the last of our Dungeon Quests updates. We are preparing a new major feature to help with navigation in Dungeons which should be available in the coming weeks and that will wrap up our Dungeon Quests work. We will then be shifting focus over to Shadowlands and will have information on that soon.
